LWOF’s European Football Predictions Matchday 4 Including Liverpool vs Tottenham

After the international break, European club football is back with matches from La Liga, the Premier League, the Bundesliga, and Serie A featuring this week.

LWOF’s European Football Predictions Matchday 4

Borussia Dortmund vs Eintracht Frankfurt (Friday)

Marco Reus and Dortmund have started the season without a defeat in the Bundesliga while Frankfurt have struggled to start the domestic season after a credible 17/18 campaign and injuries are also a problem. Former Barcelona man Paco Alcacer looks set to debut for Dortmund on loan and, given the difference in quality right now, Dortmund should win at home. Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Eintracht Frankfurt

Valencia vs Real Betis (Saturday)

The game of the week in La Liga takes place in Valencia, where the home side have struggled to start their domestic campaign. Real Betis upset rivals Sevilla in their last outing, a win that will boost their spirits early in the season. With Valencia at home, they should be slightly favored, even in poor form. With the likes of Denis Cheryshev and Kevin Gameiro on their squad, they have more than enough talent at their disposal to improve. With a strong recent head-to-head in favour favor as well, Valencia should prevail. Valencia 1-0 Real Betis

Napoli vs Fiorentina (Saturday)

Napoli will be strong favourites in the Serie A game of the week; a proud Fiorentina side aren’t in the best form and they have struggled in Naples. They do have some key young pieces on their squad though, including Croatia’s Marko Pjaca, Italy’s Federico Chiesa and Serbia’s Nikola Milenkovic. The Dries Mertens-led Napoli should score early and maintain a lead in a potentially high scoring clash. Napoli 3-2 Fiorentina

Tottenham vs Liverpool (Saturday)

A ‘home’ game for Tottenham that they can’t play in their home stadium. Spurs are a solid side but injuries to Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris among others, with Heung-Min Son still likely to be rested, means they will be shorthanded against a Liverpool side that have been perfect so far domestically. Lucas Moura has been a revelation for Spurs but Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and the rest of the Liverpool side look ready to step up. Tottenham 1-3 Liverpool

Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen (Saturday)

Despite having one of the Bundesliga’s strongest sides on paper, Leverkusen are yet to take a point this season, while Bayern Munich are already well on their way to likely another title. Even with Leon Bailey and other quality players, Leverkusen have failed to fire, while James Rodriguez’s debut should strengthen an already in-form Bayern side. The question is how many goals Bayern will win by. Bayern Munich 4-1 Bayer Leverkusen
